Forde has been invited to hold a solo exhibition at the Goldie Room, Goldie Vineyard on Waiheke Island. The show will open on 5 April 2012. As well as his signature carvings made from Jarrah sleepers, he will be exhibiting pieces made from 90-year old totara and puriri fence posts (from trees cut down when the island was cleared for agriculture) and the vineyard’s own 150 year-old French oak barrel staves.
