2014 Harbourview Sculpture Trail

Fifty one artists chosen from a nationwide call for entries have recently been announced for the next Harbourview Sculpture Trail, and Forde is one of them.

The Harbourview Sculpture Trail showcases a wide range of sculpture and outdoor art in a unique setting. Reflecting on the rich local history and natural environment of the salt marshes surrounding Te Atatu Peninsula, the exhibition is set against stunning views down the Waitemata to the Harbour Bridge and beyond.

Following its successful debut in March 2012, the Harbourview Sculpture Trail is becoming an exciting biennial event on the Auckland arts calendar, positioned to alternate with the well-established biennials headland Sculpture on the Gulf (Waiheke) and NZ Sculpture OnShore (North Shore). Produced by the local non-profit arts initiative, Peninsula Arts Inc. and curated by Sally Lush, this is West Auckland’s own reoccurring sculpture event, with exhibited works available for purchase.

The next 3 week exhibition will run from Saturday 8th – Sunday 30th of March 2014 with opening hours of 10am – 6pm every day.
